I’m thrilled to be hosting another blog tour this month!

Why? Because my year-long devotional for moms would be the perfect book to begin on January 1st!

Here’s a little bit about the book: Searching for Sanity by Lindsey Bell

About Searching for Sanity:

Have you ever looked at your beloved children and wondered, what in the world am I doing? Why did God trust me—of all people—to raise them? Motherhood is the most difficult job many of us will ever take. Searching for Sanity offers moms an opportunity to take a breath, dig into the Word, and learn from parents of the past. In short devotions designed for busy moms, this book uses the parents of the Bible—both the good and the bad—to inspire today’s mothers.

At the end of the tour, I’ll be giving away a MEGA-GIVEAWAY: 6 books to 1 winner!

Enter to Win Lindsey Bell's Mega-GiveawayThe six books YOU could win include:

Love Idol by Jennifer Dukes Lee

Notes from a Blue Bike by Tsh Oxenreider

I went to the Illuminate page to leave a comment today and couldn’t find anywhere to leave a comment. I enjoyed reading your blog post about the 3 things your children weren’t getting this year. I agree, kids have to much stuff. Mine are excited about something new for a day and then it gets put in the bottom of the toy box. We are cutting back this year on the number of gifts.

Hmmm…I wonder why. Usually, it’s either at the top or the bottom of the post. But I’ll count this as your entry! Thanks for commenting:)

I couldn’t comment on the Illuminated blog either. I agree with your 3 points, Lindsey. I am asking my kids what will they give this Christmas instead of “what will I get”

I tried to comment on the Illuminated blog too and couldn’t. I agree!! My kids have way too muh stuff and last year we moved and got rid of about half of it and they still have too much. We’re cutting back on the number of things we buy this year.

Love the idea of starting the New Year with tools to bring us closer to God on a regular basis – anything that helps me parent more effectively is a blessing! Merriest of Christmases to you and your family!
